How To Choose the Right Protractor
To select your protractor, you need your die's Outer Diameter (OD) and Center Line Radius (CLR). Use this simple formula:
Protractor Size = CLR + (OD / 2) + 0.125"
Example: For a 1.75" OD die set with a 5.5" CLR:
5.5" + 0.875" + 0.125" = 6.5"
If your result is not listed, just round up to the nearest 1/8".
