Model
3 Bender
$295
The original and still the best.
RUGGED ALL STEEL CONSTRUCTION - Designed with durability and affordability in mind. All parts are 100% CNC machined. All links are machined from 1/2" thick steel and zinc phosphate plated for corrosion resistance. Fast change bending dies are CNC machined from solid steel billets and carry a lifetime guarantee against breakage. Steel dies eliminate the problems common with other manufacturers' aluminum dies, such as breakage and groove spreading when bending 4130 chromemoly tubing.
LARGE CAPACITY - Bends round tubing and pipe from 1/2" to 2" O.D. and square tubing from 1/2" to 1-1/2".
AFFORDABLE - At only $295, the Model 3 has been designed to be the ultimate in low cost bending.
EASY OPERATION - The Model 3 uses a high-ratio ratchet mechanism to allow you to bend larger tubing sizes comfortably without assistance. For example, the average operator can bend 1 3/4" x .095" wall round mild steel tubing with one hand, 1 1/2" x .095" wall tubing with two fingers and 1" x .065" wall tubing with ONE finger. Dies can be changed in under 30 seconds. Bend times are typically in the 30-60 second range for 1" o.d. and above tubing using the ratchet mechanism. Hydraulics may be slightly slower or faster depending on the power unit chosen.
HIGHLY ACCURATE - With the degree ring standard on every new Model 3, accurate bending is simply a matter of watching the pointer until the degree of bend you desire is reached.

I've seen several benders that look just like this one. What makes this the best? |

Extension
Handle - $40 This 54 inch long handle is a necessity for manual bending. It fits
over the short handle with no fasteners required. |

Note: In the description column,
the numbers in the parenthesis [ ex: (6.5-180) ] designate the die set's center
line radius and maximum normal degree of bend. Therefore (6.5-180)
would represent a die set with a center line radius of 6.5" and would be capable
of producing a complete 180 degree bend. The "Center Line Radius" is the bend radius as measured
from the center rotation point of the die to the middle of the tubing. The 'Minimum
Wall Thickness' column represents the minimum wall thickness for consistent
high quality wrinkle free bends. Wall thicknesses less than .083" may require
an anti-springback block added to the followbar to help limit springback and
prevent wrinkling. All die sets will bend up to .120" wall. Greater wall thicknesses
may be bent with the smaller O.D. tubing and pipe up to the maximum power of
the bender. Dies rated for 90 degree bends are actually machined to
approximately 115 degrees and 180 degree dies are machined to approximately
210-220 degrees.
Metric and custom die sets are available. Please call for pricing.
Unfortunately, due to the extreme increases in the price of steel, as of 6/1/2008 we have been forced to raise some of our prices between 5 and 20%. To offset most of these price increases we have brought back the 90 degree versions of all dies with a center line radius of 4" or greater. The fact is there really isn't much demand for bends greater than 90 degrees in tube sizes larger than 1" diameter anyway, so why spend the extra money unless it's really necessary. As a side bonus the forming die's are approximately 40% lighter. This makes them both easier to handle and less expensive to ship. Let's all hope steel prices stabilize soon.
